Overview

An exciting leadership opportunity awaits an experienced Director of Nursing Cardiovascular Services in Tyler, Texas. This role is ideal for a dynamic nurse leader eager to expand and shape a growing cardiovascular program. You'll oversee key service lines, including CV-ICU, Heart Failure, and Med/Surg units, while leading the launch of VAD and ECMO programs.

This position offers the chance to collaborate with an outstanding multidisciplinary medical team known for innovation in cardiac care. You'll guide clinical and administrative operations, mentor nursing leaders, and help elevate patient care standards across all cardiovascular departments.

How You'll Contribute

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cardiovascular nursing departments with 24-hour accountability.
  • Develop and mentor clinical and leadership staff to achieve departmental goals.
  • Monitor and improve quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and team engagement.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Oversee financial, clinical, and operational activities across assigned units.
  • Serve as a change leader, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (or obtained within 2 years of hire).
  • Current and active RN license in the state of Texas (or eligibility for reciprocity).
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience with VAD/LVAD and ECMO programs.

Preferred:

  • Certification in a relevant clinical specialty or nursing administration.
