A leading healthcare facility in Southern New Mexico is seeking a seasoned nursing leader to oversee its Medical/Surgical and Telemetry departments. This Director-level role reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is critical to developing staff, implementing quality initiatives, maintaining compliance standards, and overseeing departmental budgets and performance. This is a dynamic opportunity for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes.
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units.
Develop and mentor nursing staff while ensuring a high standard of patient care.
Oversee budgeting, staffing, productivity metrics, and regulatory compliance.
Support clinical excellence and operational efficiency across units.
Implement policies and procedures aligned with best practices and healthcare standards.
Active or eligible New Mexico RN license.
Minimum 7 years of healthcare experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
Preferred: MSN, MBA, or Healthcare Administration degree.
Previous experience in a for-profit hospital is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams focused on quality improvement.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
