Summary:

Designs hardware for specialized military platforms (e.g. helicopters, launchers, etc), technical products and systems.  Designs circuitry to interface with existing hardware to collect data.  Researches and designs digital and analog circuits. 

How You'll Contribute

Responsibilities/Skills:

§  Designs, develops, and tests electrical systems, products, printed circuit boards and/or firmware.

§  Collects, analyzes, and studies customer requirements, design information, and/or technical data.

§  Verifies design specifications, design requirements, and performs necessary calculations.

§  Determines data input/output requirements and equipment requirements.

§  Designs, develops, tests, modifies, installs, and updates product firmware.

§  Generates, tests, and implements firmware in stages to meet designated project requirements and project milestones.

§  Researches and recommends product’s internal components, materials, parts, and manufacturing methods.

§  Studies, evaluates, and implements recommended system design and/or firmware changes and/or modifications.

§  Performs other duties as assigned.

Problem Solving and Discretion/Latitude:

§  Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity

§  Works under general supervision. 

§  Follows established procedures

§  Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy

What Makes You a Great Fit

Knowledge/Requirements:

§  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.  Associates degree required.

§  3 – 5 years experience with electronics, electrical design, or engineering

§  H. S. and 7 years experience may substitute for degree.

§  General knowledge of electronics, electrical design, engineering, logic, programming language, and subject matter.

Proficiency in using electronic design development programs, spreadsheets, and word programs.
