Corporate Tax Senior Manager - Chicago, Illinois

Join a well-established public accounting and advisory firm as a Corporate Tax Senior Manager. This leadership-focused role provides a blend of technical tax work, client engagement, and mentorship opportunities. You’ll be managing tax compliance and ASC 740 provision work for corporate clients across various industries, all within a firm that values your path to long-term growth. Status: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days onsite per week). Location: Chicago, IL. Relocation: Regional relocation assistance available. • Oversee multiple tax client engagements from planning to final delivery.
• Lead and review corporate tax provision projects under ASC 740.
• Offer strategic income tax planning and consulting.
• Serve as a client liaison, fostering strong, professional relationships.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff members.
• Identify and contribute to business development opportunities.
• Ensure engagements are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.
• Stay updated on evolving tax laws and regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation, JD, or LLM in Tax preferred).
• Active CPA required.
• Minimum 4-7+ years of corporate tax experience in compliance and/or consulting.
• Strong hands-on experience with ASC 740 (Tax Provision).
• Must have worked at a Top 20 public accounting firm in recent years.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (3 days per week onsite in Cincinnati).
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate income tax laws.
• Exposure to state/local tax, international tax, and transfer pricing.
• Familiarity with OneSource Tax Provision software preferred.
• Proven leadership, communication, and client service abilities.
• Consistent work history with limited short-term roles.
