Corporate Tax Manager - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

MissionHires is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager for a respected Law Firm to lead corporate tax compliance, planning, and ASC 740 income tax accounting engagements. In this hybrid role (minimum two days onsite weekly at office or client site), you will manage multiple client projects, mentor junior staff, deliver high-quality work on time, and strengthen client relationships. Ideal candidates bring 4–7 years of progressive corporate tax experience, strong ASC 740 knowledge, and a public accounting background with large multi-state/global corporations. Primary office locations include Philadelphia, Arlington, and Pittsburgh.

• Lead and manage end-to-end corporate tax engagements, ensuring quality and timeliness
• Review and prepare corporate income tax returns, identifying tax savings opportunities
• Oversee ASC 740 tax provision processes and support audits as needed
• Supervise, train, and mentor tax associates and interns; deliver performance feedback
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; identify opportunities to expand services
• Conduct federal and state tax research and respond to tax authority inquiries
• Collaborate across internal tax teams and leverage leading tax software tools
• Provide guidance on complex corporate tax issues for large, multi-state/global clients

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA licensed in PA or VA (or eligible via reciprocity) or JD/active law license
• 4–7 years of progressive corporate tax experience
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and corporate tax compliance
• Public accounting experience, preferably with a top 15 firm
• Experience with large, multi-state or global corporations
• Proficiency with OneSource Tax Provision preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to travel as needed
• Industry exposure preferred: manufacturing, technology, pharma, food & beverage, consulting, engineering, telecom, financial services, energy, and transportation
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with at least two onsite days per week (office or client site); primary locations: Philadelphia, Arlington, Pittsburgh
