Compliance & Audit Analyst

Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company is seeking a Compliance & Audit Analyst to strengthen the finance organization’s internal control environment and audit readiness, with a focus on government contracting compliance. This analytical role will support control testing, audit preparation and responses, compliance monitoring, and remediation of findings in a scaling organization committed to transparency, affordability, and integrity.

• Support the design, documentation, and testing of the company’s internal control framework.
• Prepare for and support external, internal, and government audits, including DCAA audits.
• Compile audit documentation and coordinate responses to auditor requests.
• Monitor compliance with FAR, CAS, and applicable agency-specific requirements.
• Perform floor checks and timekeeping compliance reviews.
• Assist with unallowable cost reviews and supporting documentation.
• Track audit findings, corrective action plans, and remediation progress.
• Assist in drafting, updating, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic risk assessments and support process improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in audit, compliance, internal controls, or a related area.
• Solid understanding of internal control concepts and audit processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage detailed compliance documentation and respond effectively to audit requests.
• Public accounting or internal audit experience is preferred.
• CPA or CIA certification, or progress toward certification, is preferred.
• Exposure to government contracting compliance, including FAR and CAS, is preferred.
• Experience with data analytics tools is preferred.
