Cloud Engineer (Advisor) - Plano, Texas

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer (Advisor) to play a key role in designing and delivering advanced cloud solutions across enterprise-level environments. This position involves working on complex initiatives that span multiple platforms, driving innovation, scalability, and security within cloud infrastructure.
This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to influence cloud strategy, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.

Location: Plano, TX or Reston, VA

• Develop and execute cloud infrastructure strategies and best practices

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud architectures

• Build and deploy cloud solutions through hands-on coding and automation

• Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver aligned solutions

• Promote continuous improvement and innovation within cloud environments

• Create technical documentation and present solutions to leadership

• Mentor and support the growth of junior and mid-level engineers

• Integrate cloud systems with existing enterprise platforms

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and mitigate risks proactively

• Advocate for cloud governance, standards, and operational excellence

• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering

• Strong experience with multi-cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and identity management

• Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant systems with disaster recovery strategies P

• roficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, Shell, JavaScript)

• Experience building and managing cloud networking environments (e.g., VPCs) Ability to work in mission-critical, high-availability environments

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments

• Familiarity with cloud-native tools and services (e.g., Lambda, SNS)

• Experience with compliance and security best practices in regulated environments
