How You'll Contribute

  • Execute civil engineering design for roadway infrastructure projects
  • Create detailed design drawings and construction plans using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, civil application tools, and client-owned software
  • Conduct site evaluations to assess existing conditions and inform design solutions
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, including field work and report submissions
  • Monitor and track project progress; prepare monthly project status reports
  • Perform quantity take-offs, engineering calculations, and cost estimations for bids and proposals
  • Implement QA/QC processes, including review of field data, design, and evaluation reports to meet NJDOT and county requirements
  • Apply life-cycle analysis concepts to infrastructure maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction
  • Support projects for NJDOT and multiple New Jersey counties (e.g., Camden, Mercer, Cape May, Union, Middlesex)
  • Collaborate as a team player and communicate effectively with stakeholders

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • 4–5 years of experience in civil design, with emphasis on roadway infrastructure

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and related civil engineering applications

  • Experience developing construction plans, layouts, and detailed design drawings

  • Ability to conduct site evaluations and gather field data to inform design

  • Experience preparing project schedules, tracking progress, and producing status reports

  • Strong skills in quantity take-offs, engineering calculations, and cost estimation for bids/proposals

  • Familiarity with QA/QC practices and compliance with NJDOT and New Jersey county standards

  • Understanding of life-cycle analysis for infrastructure projects

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective team collaboration

  • Ability to work on-site in Princeton, NJ
