How You'll Contribute

  • Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit

  • Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight and temperature; reporting patient history summary.

  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality.

  • Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions.

  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Pediatric experience (required)

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant

  • Minimum one year of work as a Certified Medical Assistant

  • Medical Assistant Certification (required)

  • Ability to administer injections

  • Experience with phlebotomy (preferred)

  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette

  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow

  • Patience and presence of mind

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Prolonged sitting at a desk and computer work

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods

  • Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds

  • Ability to assist with moving patients
