Care Manager RN - ED
As an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) Care Manager in the Emergency Department (ED), you will deliver patient-centric care management services for at-risk patients in an acute hospital setting. You will work alongside care management assistants and a leadership team in a unionized setting that values accountability, shared success, and excellence in patient care. Day and night shifts are available. Location: Everett, Washington.

How You'll Contribute

  • Assessment and care planning for patients with complex needs
  • Coordination of care across departments and transitions
  • Resource utilization review and management
  • Discharge planning and follow-up to ensure continuity of care
  • Documentation of interventions and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Advocating on behalf of patients and families

What Makes You a Great Fit

Required:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing diploma upon hire
  • Washington Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in a Medical-Surgical or inpatient setting

Preferred (but not required at hire):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) to be completed within 3 years
  • National certification in care management or specialty area
  • 1 year of experience in care management or utilization review (any setting) or completion of a TIPS program or Case Management Orientation Program

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
  • Proven ability in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and facilitating transitions of care
  • Solid documentation practices and understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission standards)
