As a Business Development Representative, you are responsible for generating new business pipeline through outbound calling. You will be the first point of contact for prospective customers, identifying interest, qualifying leads, and booking discovery meetings for Account Executives.
This is a high-activity, high-impact role focused on disciplined outreach, consistent follow-up, and effective communication. You’ll combine outbound calling with structured follow-up processes, ensuring every lead is handled with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Calling & Lead Generation
Conduct daily outbound calls to prospective customers.
Use structured scripts and discovery frameworks to identify pain points and assess fit.
Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives and ensure smooth handoff with complete notes and context.
Lead Management & CRM Discipline
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities, calls, and outcomes within the CRM.
Update contact details, call results, and meeting notes in real time.
Ensure data integrity and adherence to established outreach processes and lead routing standards.
Follow-Up & Sequence Execution
Execute structured call and follow-up cadences using defined workflows.
Manage multiple touchpoints per lead, ensuring timely re-engagement and consistent follow-through.
Adhere to daily activity goals and outreach schedules to maintain strong pipeline velocity.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track and report on key performance metrics including call volume, connection rates, and meetings booked.
Provide feedback on lead quality and outreach effectiveness to team
Participate in weekly reviews and coaching sessions to improve call performance and outcomes.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Revenue Operations and Account Executives to align on qualification criteria and meeting quality.
Share insights from conversations to help refine messaging, outreach strategy, and data accuracy.
Actively contribute to process improvements and best practices for outbound performance.
Must-Have
2–3 years of outbound sales or lead generation experience.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Good command over English language and accent.
Confidence and professionalism on outbound calls.
Experience working within CRM systems (Salesforce).
High attention to detail, organization, and process discipline.
Self-motivated, coachable, and results oriented.
Nice-to-Have
Prior experience in SaaS or technology sales.
Familiarity with outbound engagement tools (Apollo, Zoom Info, Dialer, etc.).
Experience working across different time zones.
