This senior leader will own the strategy, design, execution, and continuous improvement of comprehensive health, welfare, and retirement programs. The role oversees compliance, vendor management, HRIS enablement, benefit communications, and a team of benefits professionals while aligning total rewards with organizational goals. How You'll Contribute
- Lead strategy, design, implementation, and administration of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and applicable federal/state regulations
- Own vendor relationships (consultants, brokers, actuaries, TPAs) and manage contract performance
- Partner with HR leadership to align benefits with Total Rewards and organizational objectives
- Continuously evaluate market competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and employee value of offerings
- Develop, track, and report metrics to measure program effectiveness and ROI
- Collaborate with HRIS and IT to optimize systems, automation, and employee benefits experience
- Lead, mentor, and develop the benefits team; serve as escalation point for complex issues
- Drive process improvements and operational excellence across benefits administration
- Develop and execute benefits communication strategies to improve employee understanding and engagement
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years managing benefits programs, including design, implementation, and compliance
- Direct experience within a healthcare environment
- Expert knowledge of retirement plans (401(k), pension, 403(b)) and health & welfare programs
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving strategic initiatives
- Experience working with HRIS systems
- Preferred: Master’s degree and/or CEBS, CBP certifications
- Preferred: Experience developing wellness programs
- Preferred: Exposure to value-based or alternative healthcare benefit models
