They perform welding, dent removal, filling, sanding, and sometimes painting to return vehicles to factory specifications. Following safety regulations, using protective gear, and maintaining tools and equipment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding, metalworking, and using frame-straightening machinery.
Attention to Detail: Precision in aligning parts and matching paint.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment, lifting heavy parts, and standing for long periods.
Knowledge: Understanding of automotive design, materials, and safety standards.
Certification: I-Car.
How You'll Contribute
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Assessment & Estimation: Reviewing damage reports, inspecting vehicles, and calculating repair costs.
Body Repair: Removing damaged panels/parts (doors, fenders, bumpers), repairing dents, and welding replacement parts.
Structural Work: Aligning car frames and unibody structures using specialized equipment.
Finishing: Sanding, priming, and buffing surfaces for a smooth finish.
Safety & Maintenance: Following safety regulations, using protective gear, and maintaining tools and equipment.
