Assistant Nurse Manager - Comprehensive Services Psych Unit - FT Evenings - Belle Mead, New Jersey

Join a leading behavioral health facility in New Jersey as an Assistant Nurse Manager on the Comprehensive Services Psychiatric Unit for full-time evening shifts. In this key leadership role you will oversee clinical and administrative operations of the unit, ensure high standards of patient care, coordinate staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and act as the primary leader in the absence of senior administrators to promote safety, staff development, and patient satisfaction.

• Supervise psychiatric nursing staff and ensure delivery of high-quality, therapeutic care.
• Lead unit operations during evening shifts, including managing emergencies and staffing.
• Act as liaison with access and admissions teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Monitor safety, resolve conflicts, and manage crisis calls with patients, families, and the public.
• Conduct chart audits, compliance checks, and ensure training and orientation requirements are met.
• Provide mentorship and performance feedback to nursing staff.
• Encourage professional development and uphold standards of ethical and culturally sensitive care.

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current RN License (New Jersey)
• Valid U.S. Driver's License
• A minimum of 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience and 1 year in a leadership role
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Strong communication and computer skills

Preferred:

• MSN degree
• Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing
• IV Therapy certification

Shift Differentials:

• Weekday Evening: +$4.00/hr
• Weekend Day: +$4.00/hr
• Weekend Evening: +$8.00/hr
• Weekday Night: +$6.00/hr
• Weekend Night: +$10.00/hr
