Why This Role Matters

Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Manager oversees all accounting and financial reporting activities while supporting senior leadership and board presentations. This role leads a team of 2–5 staff across accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and administrative support, and partners with retail management to guide finance procedures and improve day-to-day operations.

How You'll Contribute

Accounting Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all accounting functions, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.
  • Lead audit coordination and oversee accurate, timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Handle sales and operating tax filings, A/R collections, and A/P processing in Sage Intacct.
  • Support annual budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis for senior leadership.
  • Assist the CFO with board presentations and prepare all loan covenant reports.
  • Train and develop accounting staff and help foster a positive, collaborative work environment.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Accounting Manager Candidates must possess:

  • 5–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Accounting degree required
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (5 years) and experience managing audits, financial reporting, budgeting, A/P, A/R, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Skilled in monthly close processes and proficient with Word, Excel, and accounting/reporting systems.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a commitment to developing and mentoring staff.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with experience presenting key financial data to senior management.
