This hybrid role oversees core accounting functions, monthly close, GAAP/SOX compliance, financial reporting, AP, reconciliations, and operational analytics while collaborating with cross-functional leaders to improve processes and support strategic decisions.
How You'll Contribute
- Lead and supervise the DeLand-based accounting and financial reporting team
- Own and manage the monthly close process to ensure timely, accurate journal entries and reports
- Review financial transactions for GAAP, SOX, and internal policy compliance
- Oversee accounts payable activities and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review reconciliations and accounts receivable responses for accuracy
- Prepare executive-level financial presentations and reporting packages
- Analyze financial statements, explaining key variances and performance drivers
- Provide financial and operational analysis to support leadership decisions
- Partner with operational leaders to understand business needs and develop solutions
- Lead or support cross-functional process improvement initiatives
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting support as needed
- Ensure high-quality analytical outputs and support special projects as assigned
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and executing month-end close processes
- Proven financial analysis and business process evaluation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Preferred: Experience in FP&A
- Preferred: Knowledge of relational databases
- Preferred: SQL query writing experience
- Preferred: Master’s in Accounting (MAcc) or CPA certification
- Preferred: Exposure to healthcare or laboratory services environments
