Access Triage Nurse Coordinator - Per Diem (Nights)
We are seeking a dedicated Access Triage Nurse Coordinator to join a behavioral health access center in Belle Mead, NJ. This is a per diem night shift role (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to be part of a collaborative team focused on patient care and clinical coordination. The position includes every other weekend and two out of six holidays. Status: Per Diem. Location: Belle Mead, NJ. Salary: $43.63/hour starting minimum rate. Bonus: Up to 1%. Visa Support: Not available.

• Conduct triage assessments and assist with medical clearances
• Interview patients/families to gather clinical information and assess critical situations
• Collaborate with licensed independent providers (LIPs) on admissions and referrals
• Act as a shift leader, supporting staff with clinical and administrative concerns
• Document patient data accurately and efficiently in the system
• Handle patient registration, insurance pre-certification, and scheduling
• Serve as a key point of contact for families and referral sources
• Assist in emergency interventions and communicate with administrative staff
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA and internal standards
• Weekday Night shift differential: + $6.00/hr
• Weekend Night shift differential: + $10.00/hr

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Active NJ Registered Nurse License
• BLS Certification (AHA) - must be obtained within 90 days if not current
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Preferred:

• BSN or MSN
• At least 1 year in a psychiatric or substance abuse care setting
• Experience in patient admissions or as a NJ screener
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification
